Does AndroMouse require an internet connection?
No. AndroMouse works entirely over your local WiFi network. Your phone and computer just need to be on the same network. No internet connection is required for any functionality.
Is my data secure?
Absolutely. All communication happens locally on your network -nothing is sent to external servers. We don't collect any personal data, and there are no accounts required. We use anonymous analytics managed by Google to improve the app. Your input stays between your phone and your computer.
Which operating systems are supported?
The Android app works on Android 7.0 and above. The iOS app is available on the App Store. The desktop server is available for Windows (10+), macOS (10.14+), and Linux (most distributions with X11 or Wayland).
Do I need to install anything on my computer?
For WiFi mode, yes - you'll need the lightweight AndroMouse Server on your computer. For Bluetooth mode, no server is needed - just pair your phone directly. Download links for the server are available below.
Does AndroMouse support Bluetooth?
Yes! AndroMouse supports Bluetooth connections. In Bluetooth mode, your phone pairs directly with your computer as a Bluetooth HID device - no server installation needed. This is great for quick setups, smart TVs, or when WiFi isn't available. Note that some advanced features like Live Screen Preview and File Transfer require a WiFi connection with the server. Does it work over USB?
Currently, AndroMouse works over WiFi and Bluetooth. USB connectivity may be added in a future update.
Is the Pro purchase a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time purchase. Pay once, own it forever. All future updates are included at no additional cost. On Android, Pro is a separate app on the Google Play Store. On iOS, you can upgrade to Pro via an in-app purchase within the same app.
